Rethink How You Handle Money

A structured programme for people who want budgets that actually work beyond next month

Most budget courses teach you to track pennies. We do something different. You'll spend twelve weeks building a financial system that considers what happens two, three, even five years from now. It's about understanding trade-offs and making choices with your eyes open.

This isn't quick. But if you're tired of short-term fixes that fall apart by February, you might find it useful.

How We Got Here

September 2019

Started With a Problem

Founded after noticing too many smart people making terrible long-term financial decisions. Not because they were bad with money, but because no one taught them to think past quarterly goals. We set out to change that.

March 2021

First Cohort Launch

Ran our pilot programme with nineteen participants. The feedback? "This feels different." People weren't just tracking expenses anymore. They were thinking about housing decisions, career shifts, and major life changes with actual numbers.

November 2022

Curriculum Overhaul

Completely rebuilt the course after realizing people needed more time with scenario planning. Added three weeks focused purely on stress-testing financial decisions against different futures. That's when things really clicked for participants.

June 2024

Workplace Partnerships

Several Australian companies started offering the programme as professional development. Turns out businesses benefit when their employees aren't stressed about money. Strange how that works.

Looking Ahead

What's Next for 2025

Developing advanced modules for people who've completed the core programme. Topics like portfolio construction, property investment analysis, and business finance. September 2025 intake is already taking expressions of interest.

What Former Participants Say

These are real people who completed the programme between 2023 and early 2025

I'd been saving for a house deposit for years, but this programme made me realize I was planning for the wrong type of property entirely. The scenario work helped me see what I actually needed versus what I thought I wanted. Bought my first place in March 2024 with confidence instead of anxiety.

My partner and I kept arguing about money without understanding why. Turns out we had completely different time horizons. She was thinking five years ahead, I was focused on the next twelve months. The framework gave us a language to actually discuss financial decisions instead of just fighting about them.

As someone who runs a small consulting business, the multi-year perspective changed everything. I stopped making decisions based on my current client roster and started thinking about what the business needed to look like in three years. Revenue's up, but more importantly, stress is down.

How the Programme Actually Works

Twelve weeks. One evening per week. Plus homework that takes maybe two hours if you're thorough about it.

We start with where you are now, then work backwards from different possible futures. What if you change careers? What if you have kids? What if property prices do something weird? You'll build scenarios for all of it.

By week eight, you'll have a framework. Not a rigid plan, but something flexible enough to handle life actually happening.

  • Live sessions every Tuesday evening, with recordings if you miss one
  • Small groups, usually twelve to fifteen people per cohort
  • Real spreadsheet work, not fluffy goal-setting exercises
  • Guest sessions with financial planners, accountants, and property specialists
  • Access to our alumni network for ongoing questions

Next Intake Starts October 2025

We run three cohorts per year. Autumn intake opens for applications in July. If you're thinking about joining, now's a good time to ask questions. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just honest conversation about whether this fits what you need.
